Committee, I would like to extend a
heartfelt note of thanks for your
outstanding support of San Francisco Fleet
Week and the Navy Blue Angels in 2009.
As you know, the last minute decision by
the Coast Guard to not provide a show center
vessel for the Blue Angels performances had
the potential to cancel their performance
this year. The positive attitude of you and
your team was most welcomed and your
willingness to innovate and provide timely
suggestions was invaluable.
The barge you provided at the suggestion
of the Navy was ideal and the positioning of
the tug at show center to assist in the
visibility problems the Blue Angel pilots
raised the day before the show was
significant to the overall success of this
year’s San Francisco Fleet Week.
Once again, thank you for your support of
Fleet Week and I look forward to working
with Greger Pacific in the future.
Westar Marine Services has been in the
tugboat and marine services business on San
Francisco Bay since 1976. We have had
numerous occasions to subcontract tug
